Your questions answered
Why should I choose Wopilo bedding over other brands?
There is little to no chance of finding an official thread count per cm² on the cotton percale you can buy in most stores.
At Wopilo, we prefer to be completely transparent and explain our various thread count densities!
In simple terms, the higher the thread count per square centimetre, the flatter the weave, resulting in a thick, smooth feel. The most important aspect is the use of resistant fibres, as is the case for all Wopilo products. We use long fibres, which are far more durable than short fibres!
Cotton percale with a thread count of 80/cm² will feel soft and supple, and cotton percale with a thread count of 120/cm² will feel both thick and smooth!
👉 Wopilo bedding is made from 100% organic cotton percale. Whether you prefer a thread count of 80/cm² or 120/cm², we have selected only the very best fibres!
Our cotton percale was developed in our Portuguese workshop and is designed to be resistant, soft, and, most importantly, durable.
By opting for Wopilo bedding, you are choosing to care for yourself as well as the planet ♻️ !
What is organic bedding? What does GOTS certification stand for?
Wopilo bedding is made by weaving organic cotton, which is a type of cotton produced using fibres derived from organic farming. This type of farming does not use chemicals, with a focus on biodiversity and the impact of its environmental activities.
What exactly is GOTS 🧐 ? Global Organic Textile Standard, or GOTS, is the strictest certification in its field. It certifies organic, responsible, and transparent production. It makes it possible to monitor each step of production.
How do I clean and care for my Wopilo bedding?
Here are our recommendations for cleaning and caring for your Wopilo bedding and helping it last longer 💡 .
👉 To help preserve the dyes and fibres in the best possible condition, it is preferable to wash pillowcases at 40°C maximum, and alternate between air-drying and tumble-drying using a low-temperature programme.
👉 Opt for natural air-drying if possible. If you must use the tumble dryer, opt for a low-temperature programme so as to not damage your bedding.
Wopitip: Add a little vinegar to your usual washing powder or detergent during the first 3 washes – this will help set the dye. Bonus: This solution is 100% natural and also good for your washing machine ♻️ !
